Unconfirmed BRAC List Leaked?

 

It appears that an unconfirmed BRAC list may have been leaked according to Michelle Malkin’s site. This list was supposed to be announces tomorrow according to Donald Rumsfeld; however, it appears that the list may have been leaked.

Army bases currently proposed for closure or realignment in 2005
include:

Fort Richardson, Alaska
Fort Sam Houston, Texas
Fort Shafter, Hawaii
Lima Army Tank Plant, Ohio
Natick Soldier Center, Massachusetts
Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey
Redstone Arsenal, Alabama
Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois
Sierra Army Depot, California
Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona

UPDATE: I must admit I am a bit suspicious of this list; however, the actual list from DOD comes out at 10.30am EDT.

      Some one is going to have to explain to me some day how one can be the last to a story and not provide a link along the way of others before them after the post had been done by others that people would normally read.

      Just interesting how that happens. But that’s just me. What do you think Tom?

      Carlisle Barracks on the top of the list. That is where I have to go to the Commissary! I’m on a little DOD base. They better increase my BAS if they shut that place down. The standard of living is a lot higher than what I get paid here. As an E-5 in the USAF. I don’t want to see this base shut down.

      Are you over at War College? I was born in Carlisle and live in Ga near Fort Mac. It seems everyone over at Command has spent time at the War College.
