Bush Polls: Positives UP Negatives DOWN

Bush is showing leadership internationally and on Social Security. He addresses the nation directly as opposed to through the media so the distortions are minimized. And guess what happens.

Eric Pheiffer reports with the Beltway Buzz:

Gallup’s new poll shows a bounce for President Bush’s approval rating. Bush’s approval rating is up two points to 50 percent, while his disapproval rating has dropped four points from 49 to 45 percent.

Congressional disapproval continues to slip, with only 35 percent approving and 57 percent disapproving, a deterioration of three points in each category.

I bet this news will not lead the evening news. Gallup timed it to coincide with a poll that is designed to slam Congress. What a surprise. UGH!
