Johnny Cochran is dead at 67

The LA times reports the attorney involved in a number of high-profile cases has died at the age of 67.

Los Angeles, NC — The Los Angeles Times is reporting that prominent attorney Johnny Cochran has died.

One of his law firm partners confirms Cochran died Tuesday afternoon.

He first gained fame as an early advocate for victims of police abuse, then achieved worldwide notoriety for successfully defending football star O.J. Simpson on murder charges.

Cochran died at his home in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles, apparently due to complications related to an inoperable brain tumor.

He was 67.

      My deepest condolencies on the lost of your love one. He was a great man and a very powerful lawyer.
      Take comfort in the fact that God has plucked one of his favorite flowers. He is the father of us all.
      No matter when you are, he will always be watching over you all

      i did not know mr.cocharn but i can say when i watched him he did his thang you will be missed dearly and to his family may god be with you all god always takes his best angles and he called ones of his best angles you r in our prays god bless you all.

      He my name is Brandon sims, I really think Johnnie cochran was very hard working criminal justice defender and what he did should give lots of people attention toward how your life can turn out to be.       I am very Devestated that he passed on because my dream was to someday meet him. He was a powerful black lawyer. He is a inspiration to me he is the reason i want to become a lawyer. I send my sympothy to his family.

      It is unfortunate that he passed away, but how is he an inspiration? He got a O.J.off for murder he committed. It’s lawyers like his that enable sick men like O.J. to walk free. It’s a shame.

      And I agree with Claire above, If money and power are what enables lawyers to set killers free to kill again into our society, then Mr Cochran is a prime example of what we as people should condem. God & OJ know the truth and Im sure God has plans for OJ and I have no doubt that Johnny Cochran is saying “Man its hot down here”.
