Aruban Newspapers Bon Dia; Beth Twitty’s Declaration and the Natalee Holloway Investigation

Police interrogated Beth Twitty a couple of hours despite that
Natalee Holloway’s mother recorded her declaration on tape to hand over to police

Bon Dia Aruba

ORANJESTAD— After much anticipation, Natalee Holloway’s mother arrived at the police station in Shaba to give answers to various questions to police in charge of the investigation had.

Mrs. Twitty came with a group of American journalists who were at all times walking with her. And although she told the Strategic Commission that she did not know that some media would follow her to Aruba, it was obvious that they had a very close relationship. Her friend was in the car with an MSNBC producer, for example.

The police station was awaiting the arrival of Mrs. Twitty and would not let the press stop their cars too close. They also didn’t let the cameramen arrive first.

Mrs. Twitty entered accompanied by her friend Carol followed by her attorney Helen Lejuez who also came in. But her brother Paul Reynolds, who arrived in a taxi, could not enter. Police did not permit this.

The conversation, which was more like an interrogation, lasted a few hours, contrary to what Mrs. Twitty thought, given that she brought two recorded tapes with her declaration and what from what can be deduced from the time that she remained inside, police decided to make some touchy questions.

If it were not for the fact that Perter Sellers is dead, I would think that Inspector Closeau, Dreyfuss and Kato are running this investigation.
I would agree with any Dutch territory boycott.. however I would travel to Aruba at least once, given the time and resources but only to look for Natalee and play out some of my gut feelings.

Those poor Aruban investigators! How can they handle all the stress? I feel so sorry for them. First, they try so hard to solve the case, but those darn judges just keep letting everybody go. And now, that rude and unpredictable mother, Beth, just keeps complaining all the time. And she is so nasty! They must be deeply insulted. What a nightmare!

How can they continue to cope? How can they focus on doing their job? It’s all too much.

If only those stupid, demanding Americans would just shut up and go back to booking their vacations on the island, everything will be fine again. I mean, what’s the big deal anyway? With about 2 million visitors every year, a mere handful of missing kids isn’t statistically relevant, is it? I mean, more people get killed on the highways in Kansas than turn up missing in Aruba, so why don’t they boycott Kansas? Huh? Why not?

Besides, those rotten little brats had it coming. I mean, they were out drinking and partying and raving till all hours every night, at the clubs and casinos which form our lifeblood, which are all sanctioned by the Aruban Government, and where anything goes basically, so what did they expect? Hey, those chicks were all wasted, what were our boys supposed to do? Hold the doors open for them like a proper southern gentleman or something? Hell no! It was easy – you wouldn’t believe how easy it was! We all did it! It was great. We had a blast. But I don’t know what happened later. I was online I think, or talking on the phone, or getting ready for bed, I think.

Maybe it was those {{{edit}}} from the States! Yeah, right, it had to be them, we should call them back for questioning! How dare those arrogant pigs from the USA question us! We’ll show them, we’ll just put this whole case into limbo, we’ll drag it out forever, the longer it takes the better for us in the end anyway. People forget, they’ll come back, all we have to do is offer some great deals on one of those travel web sites, and they’ll just click “yes” and be ready to come on down and party with us some more!

It’ll be great, it’ll be just like the good ole days. We can get back to making money and forget all this criminal investigation stuff. Who needs that? Blood is an expense. It’s bad for business.

In the early days of the investigation, some videos were posted on June 11th to an Aruban websites, aru-bay.com, that showed people searching an area near the lighthouse. It was presumed that they were searching for Natalee Holloway. Shortly after they were posted online at this site, they were removed. The reason for the removal was that the videos were posted to help prove the security guards initially arrested were innocent, and then removed when the guards were released.

The videos are from a handheld camera and and show the police searching near some large rocks, and during the search they put up a tarp and then mark the rocks. The timing of the videos was the day after the Aruban and Dutch authorities mistakenly announced Natalee was dead, and were going to retrieve the body. That is why the folks followed them and recorded it.

View video # 8 at about 1min 34sec. into the video. It will take your breath away. Go to Oct. 8 on this site to find the videos.

The Aruban method of investigating a crime must be to focus on and harass the victim’s family and not to thoroughly investigate the ‘perps. It’s hard to believe in this day and age that responsible men and women in positions of authority have resorted to these ‘sleight of hand’ tactics.

Aruba – know that the world will not forget Natalee and how the so called authorities botched the investigation. I hope that your tourist revenues go down the drain along with your island’s reputation as a safe and friendly place. Once done, we’ll put Aruba in the ‘small loss’ column.

      Hey Jerry,
Other than looking like the Blair Witch with the shaky camera, what was so breathtaking? A man unfolding plastics drop cloths for 2 minutes??

      Hi Jerry,
You are right, I looked over and over at the Videos, and it certainly looked like they found a body. It looked like 2 pathologist, one had a mask on he was on the ground, also one had knee pads on. It looked like they were there a long time, I would assume long enough to do an autopsy. It could have been Natalee, since the announcement was made on June 11 that they found her body. I believe the person in the aqua shirt and the baseball cap could have been Karin Janssen, she kept looking around for evidence(to destroy it), also the 2 police officers, could have been Jacobs and Dompig. That would explain why they are not investigating because these people know Natalee is dead.
Paulus knew Joran’s DNA would be found on her and somehow he convinced the Justice Officials to do a cover-up. That is the same area the belt was found that was believed to be Joran’s, it was given to the Polis, wrong decision, because they threw it in the draw and said it was to old to test. I hope the pathologist will come forward.

      Marci,
That was the worst theory I have ever heard. Really. It was that weak. They did an autopsy outside, in the rocks and water? Why would the camera not keep rolling then?? And you really believe that a prosecuting attorney would be there looking for evidence to destroy?? My god, are you drunk? Do you really think that everybody with any position of power in Aruba would cover up a judge in training’s kid because he had money?
Now I know – most of the posts here are just plain crazy. Do you guys really believe what you type, or are you just trying to out-do each other??
