Beth Holloway Twitty and Greta van Susteren back together again

After a rather long news coverage absence due to Hurricane Katrina, Beth Holloway Twitty is back “On the Record” with Greta van Susteren discussing the new developments in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

From the September 16 ‘On the Record’ comes the following exchange regarding new information with regards to what happened to Natalee Holloway:

Beth: Thanks to Deepak it is no longer a mystery what they did to Natalee. Deepak admitted on national media how they all three raped her

Hopefully with this new evidence, the prosecutor will rearrest the three

Greta: In what context did Deepak admit this?

Beth: Jamie Skeeters and two other ex FBI were undercover on the ground for about three weeks. They were able to obtain an interview with Deepak
That is where he admitted what the three did to Natalee

Greta: More details?

Beth: He didn’t say where it happened. I am certain now, that with Joran’s statement that they took her to his house, this is where they raped Natalee.

Greta: Under what circumstances were they able to talk to Deepak?

Beth: I don’t know Greta, I just know he was able to talk to Deepak and obtain this info

Greta: Do you know if Deepak Kalpoe used the words rape, against her will, was he precise?

Beth: Well, Deepak is stating they all three had sex with Natalee.
But, we have to keep in mind that Joran and Deepak not only in statements, but also to us her family the night we arrived on the island. They described Natalee has coming in and out of consciousness, awake, asleep, awake, asleep. So, they have her in an altered state of mind, whether they placed a drug in her shot, I don’t know what they did to her.

Greta: Did they say what they did with her afterwards? Where is she? What happened to her?

One really does have to begin to wonder how any right thinking individual let alone Prosecutor or Judge can look at the evidence of a girl (who is slipping in and out of consciousness that no one knows whether because of alcohol or drugged) gets in a car with three guys where Deepak calls her a slut for doing so. The three suspects have sex with her while she may or may not have been conscious to say “yes or no” and then they claim they leave her somewhere that was the the intended location where even the 3 suspects originally claim they were going to bring her to. THEN, SHE JUST DISAPPEARS AFTER ALL THIS WITH OUT A TRACE AND WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT THE THREE SUSPECTS HAD NO INVOLVEMENT? That is actually insulting.

Beth: No, absolutely not. That is still the mystery, now we have at least established an altered state of mind. I think that has the elements of kidnapping and rape. The mystery is what do they do with her afterwards?

Greta: Have you had a chance to talk to the prosecutor about what Mr. Skeeters says that Deepak said to him? Has there been any impact?

Beth: Well Greta, I am sad to tell you, I have not been able to get in touch with her. I have tried since as early as Monday, but I believe she has either taken a vacation or is on leave. Today is Friday and still have not heard a word.

Greta: I almost fell out of my chair when you said vacation or holiday, cause that is what I hammered her about before.

Beth: Some things just don’t seem to be changing, Greta

Greta: Anything else new in the investigation?

Beth: Hopefully when she (KJ) gets back…I have always been told that if new evidence was brought forward, it would warrant the rearrest of the three. I can’t imagine this not happening now with this new evidence.

Greta: Did Mr. Skeeters get this on tape or get Deepak to sign anything?

Beth: I don’t have that information, I know Deepak volunteered all this information to Mr. Skeeters.

One also begins to wonder what perception that Aruba and the Prosecutors office wishes to show the world? At the very least you have an obligation to return a phone call to the family. I am still as well as many others why the Prosecutors office did not file any other charges against the three suspects in the mean time instead of just letting them walk away. We are told that they are still suspects; however, that is almost laughable when all restrictions have been lifted.

In their own words the suspects stated that Natalee thought she was getting a ride back to the Holiday Inn. THEY NEVER RETURNED HER THERE, as they would later admit after lying. They reference her slipping in and out of consciousness not knowing where she was going. Isn’t this kidnapping? Multiple individuals having sex with a person who could not give content is defined as rape. Then after all this Natalee Holloway disappears and is never seen again. All this from getting into a car expecting a ride back to her hotel. The Justice system in Aruba can’t see a crime or multiple ones? Please.

This all just makes me sick. No justice system in Aruba and perhaps even Holland. Like I said before, get the U.S. to issue a travel advisory for Aruba. What is wrong with these people? Can the Churches in Aruba get involved?

    2. John Staton on September 17th, 2005 2:20 pm

Someone should note that Aruba became the main transhipment point for drugs and money laundering following the US invasion of Panama. The government, police and courts are all dirty with drug money. The coverup and protection of the sexual preditor gang (we know of 5 membors) is in keeping with helping out the dirty cops (Jan Van der Stratten) and dirty officials (Paulus Van der Sloot) with the dirty judges and other officials. One hand is washing the other keeping the 3 perps out of prison and the drug money flowing. The identification of Aruba as the main transhipment point for drugs into North America is well documented.

I am disgusted by what Deepak said ON TAPE on the Dr. Phil show!
How dare the Aruban officials turn a blind eye to this.. !!!!!!!!!!!

    4. Amy on September 17th, 2005 2:28 pm

You know Scott Peterson didn’t think they would find her’s and Connor’s bodys either!!! The 3 boys will pay one way or another. Does anyone know how much the tourism had dropped since Natalee’s disappearance?

    5. Dallas Also on September 17th, 2005 2:29 pm

Since this is now the government creating the issue, we must now have a governmental response. The options are travel-advisory or boycott. In the absence of justice, a boycott is warranted. America must issue a boycott to address the travesty of justice that is occurring.

    6. Gabriel Leo on September 17th, 2005 2:43 pm

The justice system is perfect on the island, it’s the international media who has been making themselves more part of the problem than the solution. All they do on the island is harass my people, trick people in saying things they (media) want to hear and air it!
Calling a boycott for my island, believe you me, will hurt my island, will hurt the econmy, but wil not help this case, because everone on the island is refusing now to help/ give support in this case. Everything that has been done to help ESPECIALLY BETH and JUG Twitty/ Holloway has resulted in them back stabbing my island every chance they get on the media and believe you me THEY DON’T DO IT FOR FREE, THEY GET PAID!
I for one am stopping my support to this case and so it has been voiced by many Arubans here on the radio/ tv and newspaper. We feel betrayed that knowing and wanting for this case to have an end we have to wake up every morning to hear that BETh has STRUCK again.
We are proud people and will continue to serve Americans (those who do know how Aruba is and how my people truly are) as if they were made out of gold, but compassion for Beth and Jug has ended due to their petition to boycott my island which until May 29th 2005 was not known bij no one and no one even knew where Aruba was situated.
Enough is Enough and We don’t support the Holloway Case anywmore! You guys can’t solve the case, but WE! The same stupid, dumb ass authorities that we have (called by Americans) are the only ones to solve this case and atacking them instead of supporting them wil help? Nacy Grace, Greta van Susteren, Dr. Phil thank you!

    7. Bill on September 17th, 2005 2:47 pm

Well, aside from any despicable acts they may have commited, it would seem to me that these boys would be guilty of gross negligence. Even if they had consent from Natalee (which I do not believe they did) — even if they had consent, they were negligent in that they did not escort her to a safe location. They admit they “dropped her off” – they admit she was “slipping in and out of conciousness”. Any idiot would realize that it would not be safe to leave her alone anywhere in the world in that condition. Don’t tell me Aruba supports that kind of nonsense. It should be an offense of some kind or at least something the boys could be sued for. Perhaps they would not like to face the court in that context and might come clean if they realize that they could be paying on a lawsuit for many, many years.

And if that kind of crap IS allowed in Aruba without recrimmination, then it is, in fact, a dangerous place to be in my opinion.

    8. marie on September 17th, 2005 3:28 pm

You know so long the country is sick hearing about this. The media gives to much of what is happening. Beth just goes on and on and I think everyone in Aruba thinks she should get some rest and there country go forward with the investigation. They have there rules of doing justice.

    9. rr on September 17th, 2005 4:17 pm

      To Amy,

The truth about tourism levels will never be told. The churches in Aruba have little to no clout whatsoever. And, the worst part, it is doubtful that anyone within the Aruba legal system cares about the revelations from the Dr. Phil show.

“The information was not given under oath. The information was not signed. The judge of instruction was not present. Yada yada. Yada yada.”

The goal in Aruba is to never have things work out in a way that finds a local guilty of harming a tourist. That’s pretty uch what it’s all about.

    10. Jan on September 17th, 2005 4:34 pm

Greta better be careful – since anyone who has been truly paying attention on this case knows that these so called statements were never signed by Joran and only an outline of what the police WANTED and HOPED he would say. He did not say any of this therefore he did not sign therefore it is not evidence and to go on Greta, OReily or Phil and say they are truths is slander – Beth is going too far – she needs to step back and let Dave take totally over – he is the only parent with any credibility now. All you people that are blindly following Beth are making a huge mistake!

    11. Herb Wenz on September 17th, 2005 4:42 pm

I think what Gabriel Leo Says pretty much shows the mentality of Aruba. “Give me a break.” Boycot Aruba.

    12. debbie on September 17th, 2005 4:48 pm

Okay-if I was Beth Holloway I would be “going on and on” too!And what kind of justice do they have there? It is perfectly okay to rape a girl? Why aren’t they at least up on rape charges? Those three morons need the book thrown at them and the Aruban justice system doesn’t have the guts to do it. What goes around comes around and what will they be saying in Aruba when Joran and the other fools rape and kill again??

    13. Tazman on September 17th, 2005 4:53 pm

Those 3 guys are disgusting. Not only are they no resemblance to a gentleman, (because of all of their lying), but what kind of man needs to kidnap a female and have sex with her while she is going in and out of consciousness and allow each other to continue with the rape? Can’t those 3 have sex with sober girls? Aren’t there any girls on the island that they can date? If they can’t get any local girls, then what about hookers? Can’t they do this type of thing with hookers???

The 3 of them have committed a crime. Every one knows it! The prosecutor(s) and judge(s) need to get on track and do the right thing. At one time, they said they didn’t need a body to arrest them for murder. Do they need to have a body to arrest them for kidnapping and rape?? If she had agreed to have sex, she wouldn’t be missing and they wouldn’t be lying. She didn’t agree, they took advantage, they violated her and now she is missing. They took advantage of the fact that its a small island, teenagers are on vacation, drinking in bars that they can’t do in the States. They separate a girl from her friends and she doesn’t know where she is or how to get back to her friends or hotel. And, she is disoriented because someone drugged her. But the 3 of them know the island inside and out. A frightening situation to be in for anyone at any age.

This crime needs to be solved. They need to solve this not only for Natalee and her family but for the people of Aruba and the U.S. No one would be talking about boycotting Aruba if this had been handled in a professional legal way. Why wasn’t Paulos arrested and sentenced for obstructing justice? What does he mean no body no crime. There was a crime!!! The crime will not go away!! The crime will always be there!! In everybody’s minds!!!

    14. Proud Dutch on September 17th, 2005 5:40 pm

I agree with Gabriel Leo and no Herb there is nothing wrong with the mentality of the Aruban people in this case.
The media has made such a circus. Ofcourse i understand that Beth is searching for her daughter and wants to put everything upside down. I myself am a mother and i know i would do the same but calling names to the suspects and their family, to the government, the dutch and the aruban people isn’t right. Did everybody forget that there were hundreds of Aruban who took a day off from work to search for Natalee? The way the media is behaving to the Aruban people makes they won’t be cooperate any more. What would you do when you searched for the girl and the mother is saying your country is an bananarepublic, where drugs, rape, murder and sex are exepted as normal?
I have been several times on Aruba as an tourist and the people were very, very kind and polite to me. Indeed as i was made of gold. (nice expression Gabriel!!) They didn’t offer me drugs, i am not raped.
A boycot of Aruba will not bring Natalee back and will only hurt all hardworking Arubans. When 1 Aruban girl will be missing in the States do you think there will be as much media, F16′s, divers, dogs and americans searching for her?
Don’t get me wrong, i don’t agree with the release of the Kalpoo Brothers and Joran van der Sloot and i was shocked they can go where ever they want to go. There were too much lies to be innocent but not enough hard evidence to keep them in jail. That’s the reason they are still suspects. When the court had said they were innocent they cann’t arrest them anymore for the same case (following the Dutch law). Now they can still arrest them again when new evidence is found. And it is working i think. The Kalpoo mom took the alibi off her sons and regrets that when she realised what she had done (she wants the tape from Dr. Phil back), the brothers are giving more details now then they did in jail and i’m sure they are watching Joran in Holland for every moove he makes. I hope this will all become to an end and someone will tell where Natalee is. Not knowing is like hell for the parents!
      Proud Dutch

    15. Prima on September 17th, 2005 5:40 pm

In response to Jan’s statement, Beth said the statement was signed by FOUR policemen as witnesses to what Joran said on his own. I wish she would release the statement, both in Dutch and English complete with signatures, let the world see for themselves what a nice young man – honor student – Joran is and his “man servants” Depak and Satish. I will never again visit Aruba and give that corrupt government another American dollar UNTIL justice is done for Natalee and her family.

    16. Frank on September 17th, 2005 5:55 pm

Solving the crime has nothing to do with evidence; it is a matter of not wanting to. Apparently someone of authority owes Paulos a favor or the three would be on their way to trial. I have been to Aruba and firmly believe that the majority of the people would like this case to be solved. After seeing what we have seen and the things we have heard; I can see why the Prosecutor would have trouble bringing this case to trial. She is probably concerned about her safety as well. At this point ; a BOYCOTT would be the most effective means of getting this case to trial. As for Gabriel’s comment; he is not speaking for the majority of his people. I too have a college age daughter and it make me absolutely sick to know that it is not safe to visit such a beautiful island. We will not be going back unless this case is solved.

    17. Lisa on September 17th, 2005 5:59 pm

I just want to say that this case is solved. However the Privite Investigater has the difficult task of proving it or showing sufficient evidence. Joran, Satish, and, Depaak admit to raping her while she slips in and out of consciousness (She is awake ,asleep, awake , asleep) then Joran goes to School and tell ppl that he had sex with Natalee, then says that Natalee drowned and he didnt seek help for her? oh sure she drowned alright in her own vomit from a drug overdose! then the 3 morons got scared and, went to the field across the the street from the fishermans huts and called Daddy (Paulus Van Der Sloot) who by the way decided immidiatley who to hire to get rid of her body then pulls out money twice from the ATM machine at what time? it was 3:15AM and 3:45AM to pay the guy he hired to get rid of her body. Remember that Paulus told Beth at least twice that he picked Joran up at 4:00AM so he was awake and driving around at that hour. And why would anybody pull money out from the ATM at that hour?!for gods sake! And why was Satish and, Depaak washing the blue Honda at around 2:30Am ? ! who does that?! guilty guilty, guilty!!!!!!!I want to puke! they are so guilty! I have had the pleasure of working with the Privite investigater and let me tell you What Art Wood says happened is what happened its the truth and I would be very happy to go on your show with Art Wood and, the other gal Susie that I worked with in Aruba this would be t he truth and nothing but the truth!Gretta you have my permission to email me back so we can talk . I keep in touch with Art Wood almost daily and, Im getting pictures from him and Edurdo. Edurdo is Jossy Mansures son. I would like to tell you my involvement thank you Lisa

It is a sorry thing when Aruba dosen’t care about solving a crime that happened on their Island. Come on Aruba stand up for your Island and show people you care what happens to the people that live there and the people that visit there. How can Aruba let 2 Van Der Sloots and 2 Kalpoe’s do this to their Island. Are you going to let the 4 of them turn Aruba into a drug, rape and killer Island. Aruba is beautiful but because you are letting them get away with this crime no one will want to return, IS IT WORTH IT – ARE THE 4 OF THEM WORTH IT.

    19. Kristin on September 17th, 2005 6:42 pm

All of you people should be ashamed of yourselves for downing Beth and the American authorities. How can you be so cruel????
This only makes it even more clear as to why we aren’t getting anywhere with this case. I can’t believe how disrespectful some of the Aruban residents have been during this case. No one knows how to put themselves in the shoes of a mother who has BRUTALLY lost her loving and innocent daughter. It’s amazing to me how some people think that these three men or IMMATURE BOYS should be running around loose.
The truth will definitely come out sooner or later, for the benefit of the Holloway family. Thank God for that.
As for myself, I can say that I will NEVER set foot in Aruba again for as long as I live, and if this is the way you people are going to act, then I support BOYCOTT ARUBA!

    20. Didi on September 17th, 2005 7:21 pm

Beth Twitty is an admirable person to try to support and do anything under Gods power for her daughter. Yes, these boys are guilty. No, the Aruban government is corupt and will never help her or any American in trouble. I had thoughts of traveling there at one time. Now, I will never go there. The place makes me sick. The lawyers there, like the pretty one on TV, is as tied to that country and their ways as a baby to its mother. They need a complete new government and I do believe that tourism WILL hurt from this. I am sick of people from there criticizing Beth. If she was your daughter, what would you do? God bless the Holloway and Twitty families.

    21. Elizabeth Saxxon on September 17th, 2005 7:47 pm

in response to Gabriel Leo’s quote “We are proud people and will continue to serve Americans”: I say: HOW do Arubans serve Americans? by having their bartendars slip drugs into American girl’s drinks so that they can be brutally raped and lose their virginity to a gang of low-lifes and even DIE? Does Aruba serve us by a police chief (who was godfather of the main susepct) who allows them to go free to get rid of the American girl’s body and evidence? Does Aruba serve Americans with this jutsice? No, Aruba has taken Americans money, drugged and raped our women and killed one.
All of my friends said they wil never travel to this little scum of an island where even the chief prosecutor is as crooked as a two dollar bill with her nonstop “vacations”
Aruba stop blaming the victim! Beth Twitty is NOt the enemy. It is your corrupt system of corrupt police, judges and prosecutor. That is where the blame goes.
Beth has the right to be angry at the Aruban government. They have covered up her daughter’s murder and have seen to it that she cannto evern have her daughter’s body back. Shakespeare said it right: ” O what a tangled web we weave when we a first [practice to deceive” The whole of Aruba is corrupt from your nightclubs to your bartendars to your police to your prosecutor. What a web of deceit. Americans should
never go back to Aruba. Aruba you made your bed, now sleep in it!!

    22. Elizabeth Saxxon on September 17th, 2005 7:54 pm

We attack your ‘stupid,’ authorities because they are NOT helping properly and are covering up the murder. and by the way..WHEN did you ever support the Holloway case? Aruba NEVER wanted to truly solve this case. They only playacted and went through the motions, so be quiet you ignorant Aruban.

“”Enough is Enough and We don’t support the Holloway Case anywmore! You guys can’t solve the case, but WE! The same stupid, authorities that we have (called by Americans) are the only ones to solve this case and atacking them instead of supporting them wil help?” ~ Gabriel Leo

    23. Sick of Beth on September 17th, 2005 8:05 pm

      Dear Beth:

When your only daughter Natalee disappeared on 30th May of this year, a whole nation grieved with you. Today, three and a half months later, many of those same people feel nothing but contempt for you. What has made them change their minds? What could possibly have happened with this tragedy that has resulted in so many people being turned from supporting you to bitterly criticizing your every move?

The answer is you Beth. Your media circus has raised more questions than it has resolved, and unfortunately few of those questions have anything to do with your daughters actual disappearance, but rather the way in which you have handled both yourself, and this investigation.

I look at the picture of Natalee in her white graduation dress and wonder what sort of a daughter you had raised. You tell us she was an angel, as pure as the driven snow, a young woman with dreams of becoming a doctor, a young woman who enjoyed life and had so much to look forward to. I had no reason to doubt you, after all you are her mother, her closest friend surely, but this is not the image I hear of from others, and that troubles me. I ask myself who really was Natalee Holloway? What was her favorite television program, her favorite film, favorite ice-cream flavor? What did she talk about to her friends, what did her teachers think of this woman who wanted to become a doctor, who does she admire, and what music does she listen to? And then I shrugged my shoulders for none of us know, thanks to you.

It is sad to think that the person for whom all of this is for has somehow become lost in the words, the innuendo, the claims and counter claims. Natalee has become an icon, a figurehead, a banner to march behind. She is no longer a missing daughter but a news story, a sound byte, a blog column. Is this how you honor your daughters name?

You have allowed the media to exploit you, and in return you have exploited the media. You have successfully stage managed your own campaign of deceit and misinformation, and now you expect the good people of Aruba and the people in America who offered you their sympathy and then their money, to continue pandering to you. From almost the beginning you have indicated you were privy to information that would “blow this case wide open”, and have been unswerving in your pursuit of Joran Van Der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers.

It is always up to the prosecution to maintain their burden of proof, yet despite a continued barrage of unreliable tips and witnesses, your case has floundered and you are left with no proof that a crime has even taken place, let alone that these three boys perpetrated it. Your appearance on the syndicated talk show “Dr. Phil” has only further brought to question the legitimacy and validity of your case. We have known you have documents in your possession that “claim” the main suspect infers he committed an offense, yet you are unwilling to have these documents independently examined, verified, and translated. Surely then you can see our skepticism.

When you hand over these documents, I am sure that the authorities, be they Arubian or the FBI, would be most interested in the original tape that was aired on Dr. Phil’s show, along with any other “evidence” you have claimed you possess.

While we are at this soul-cleansing stage I would like to ask you some other questions that people feel you have an obligation to answer. It appears that your husbands brother, your primary lead at the Diario newspaper, and now your philanthropic friend who is providing the $250,000 reward, all have backgrounds that are being reported as shady, and somewhat criminal. Is this true, and if so, how do you expect to garner credibility with the American people when you castigate some for being criminal, yet associate with others who are as felonious? I sense a disconnect here.

I am also concerned that we have not been able to hear from anyone in the Mountain Brook group that went to Aruba with your daughter. While I can understand your need to keep your case focused on those who you feel are guilty, would the Mountain Brook students not be able to provide us with all of the missing pieces from the day Natalee left Birmingham to the moment she got in the car with the three suspects? If they, and of course you, have nothing to hide, I suggest we begin interviewing them one by one on Fox News. I am sure this would do wonders for their ratings and help with any of those niggling doubts many of us have.

It does seem strange that these friends of your daughter thought nothing of waking that morning and leaving Aruba without even a concern as to where Natalee might be, especially after she had apparently climbed into a car with three strange males, one of whom had been reported as having an altercation with Natalee’s High School student friends at the very same bar earlier in the evening.

Lastly, while I can understand the financial strain that this places on your family, after all you have had to leave your employment in order to visit Aruba for 2-3 days on a weekly basis, and I know that isn’t cheap, I do think it would be both humbling and magnanimous of you to give some of the tens of thousands of dollars the Natalee Holloway Trust has received in donations, to Natalee’s father Dave.

Although I sometimes wonder whether the two of you aren’t conducting completely separate investigations, I do think your ex-husband has conducted himself with the utmost integrity. I was however a little concerned for his well-being this morning when I read that he had managed to save up some money and time-off to return to Aruba, whereas you seem to have been supplied with both free and cheap accommodation and assistance. I was also rather puzzled by his interview. It was as if he was completely unaware of the fact that you have this tape of Deepak’s apparent confession. As I said, I wonder if the two of you shouldn’t be communicating a little more.

I hope that in the time you have back home now in Alabama you will consider some of the questions I have posed in this letter. While I would be the first to agree that you are under no real obligation to anyone to answer even the most simple, I do feel that sooner or later you will have completely alienated not only the people of Aruba, but a large portion of your own country as well, if you haven’t done so already. While I accept that you could probably live without the Arubians sentiment, after all they are just a small tin-pot country whose laws are archaic and whose government is riddled with corruption, I do think that first you need to seek some sort of medical help, sooner rather than later, and then help us in trying to find your daughter.

    24. frances on September 17th, 2005 8:09 pm

Hopefully there is a state of special circumstances to allow the judge to hear evidence such as this even though it was not obtained by the official chain of command. I know that in America, there are special considerations to take into account, and motions can be filed. Do they not have this in Aruba? Who is the HEAD of ALL of the LAW… The top OFFICIAL? Natalee’s family needs to get their attorney to see if there is any way to file a motion for a Special Hearing.

    25. Proud Dutch on September 17th, 2005 8:17 pm

If it is true what Lisa said, i don’t understand why it didn’t show up in the media. Did the private investigator tell this to the police? If so then i think they must have hold back much more information. It seems to be bigger and there are more people involved then we think. Maybe they count on the anger and are hoping for this kind of information from people who didn’t tell everything they knew before? I hope so!! Every detail may be the missing piece to point out the guilty one(s). (4 of them we already know)

You know we have all seem to have forgotten what the big deal is ” A Beautiful 18 year old girl is missing, she has her whole life ahead of her, Her mother and Father and other family members are devastated! The three that were last seen with her are FREE, and Natalee is still MISSING!!! If you were Beth and Dave would you not do whatever you could to find out what you could and do what you could to get an answer? I would I just do not know what I might be capable of or what I may say. The people who are slandering Beth, PUT YOURSELF in her shoes, what if the tables were turned and it was your Daughter who was missing and the last people to see your daughter aren’t saying what they know and they admit having sex with your daughter all three of them while she was coming in and out of it and now you can’t find her she’s missing and they KNOW what happened to her and they were let FREE to go on with there live’s while your daughter is still missing….WHAT WOULD YOU DO? and HOW WOULD YOU FEEL????

If the people of Aruba are afraid of what a BOYCOTT will do, then I suggest they
start standing on the steps in front of the courthouse and wake up the people inside who are working on this case.
It must be solved before any Americans travel to Aruba again.
And by the way, If Deepak thinks Natalee was a “slut” then I would say he is a “male whore”. And they all 3 must be pretty “pityful” if they cannot attract sober women.
      YOu all three are “disgusting”
Shame on him/them and for this he/they should be punished, how dare them.

    30. Pat on September 17th, 2005 9:59 pm

What Lisa says makes a lot of sense. Here are a few other “forgotten” items…
what ever happened to the purse full of rocks that was found in the pond that they never would quite drain completely? What happened to the shoe and other items found there? What happened to the other girls who were coming forward with complaints?

It’s also interesting that in his interview Deepak acted like he didn’t know a lot about bartenders being paid to put drugs in girls’ drinks, but then mentions he has “heard of” them using Ecstacy. Thats not the kind of thing you just hear of. Also, Ecstacy is not the date rape drug of choice (to knock ‘em out), but rather is the “love drug”. Just what an arrongant guy who thinks he is God’s gift to women would want. The following website gives a good description of this and other date rape drugs: http://www.udel.edu/wellspring/SOS/drugs.htm The bottom line on this psychedelic drug, besides the fact that it might cause someone to become sexually active and regret it later, is that high doses can cause loss of consciousness (which they have admitted happened) leading to death. The danger is increased by mixing with alcohol. The user’s body temperature goes sky high and they actually cook from the inside out. Something bad happened to Natalee???

It would seem that this information about bartenders being paid to spike drinks would make this qualify as a conspiracy, going all the way back to fixing drinks at that now famous bar. I am amazed that anyone would continue to go there; and I’m surprised the goverment hasn’t shown more interest in this aspect of the case – but then, they aren’t really interested in any of it – the less to cover up the better.

Lastly, we may be unjustly lashing out at the Aruban people. They probably have less say about what their government does than we do, and goodness knows we can’t get much done. There seems to be a fear factor over there that is curious to me. People come forward and disappear, or hesitate to come forward, or are reluctant to get involved. Why? Well, just think how you might feel if the mofia was running our country! Our arguement should stay with the government, and not so much the people.

BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT!! Now that Joran is free, where are the ‘Bama boys at? I hope that a few of them decide to take a trip to Holland, pay Joran a little visit and recite the famous line from Pulp Fiction:

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”

Funny how the media is still so focussed on this issue. I empathise sypathise whatever and whatnot with the relatives of Natalie. There are lots of issues that are not discussed here. How can you classify it as rape. Do we have any proof that Natalie did not have consensual sex. What was she doing going with 3 strangers anyway. Where were the chaperones and her friends. I know my mailbox is going to be filled with hate mail for my statements but the deal is I am sick and tired of beth holloway trying to speak as if she knows what exactly went on between those 3 dudes and her daughter. I wonder if she even knew what her daughter was upto. Agreed she was a merrit scholarship holder. Ageed she was pretty. But whatever said and done she made the decision of going with those 3 strangers(if she was not in a position to make judgement where were her friends???). Lets get a move on. As far as our calls to boycott Aruba am not sure this is going to work. Wherever we go even in our country we got to be careful. Bottomline bored and tired of the pretty gal lost in a strange country hype.

By all evidence we know, this case is an injustice and reveals the island to have a culture not valuing justice. But really, why would we expect a small island to turn itself inside out for something it clearly considers insignificant? It’s much easier to try to bury it (no pun intended). I wonder. When is cruise season? Are the ships still going to Aruba? I’m planning a vacation to Istunbul. Oddly, it seems safer than Aruba. As for islands, maybe Americans should consider traveling to American Territories. At least they practice law as we know it.

Yes, you are right Patti. Joran IS a whore and Deepak is a whore and Satish is a whore. They are rapists and whores. Talking about the pot calling the kettle black.. He has the audacity to speak ill of the deceased after he raped her. Deepak you are pure scum.

been with this story from the beginning….being from the islands myself , I sensed right from the get go what had happened ..the scenario plays itself over and over again in any of the tropical destinations…the characters in this story verge on being cliche…right down to the coverup…its classic! I took alot of abuse for saying that early on…but it seems to have proven true. I am wondering if more pressure from the US govt wouldve been helpful..im not sure how this could hapen or the dynamics of what couldve been done…but did i miss something? My heart goes out to Natalees mom and dad…just not knowing what happened…they need the answers for their closure..they cant bring her back and i mean at this point..who cares about a conviction..just give them some closure..so they are not victimized yet again by these scoundrels who feel they are above the law…

Gabriel Leo – Aruba gov’t has scammed the Holloway-Twittys into beleiving they will do something. They will not, otherwise it would have been done months ago. The Holloway-Twitty’s and all supporters need to use the next year to hammer Aruba to the maximum. The Holloway-Twittys need to stop using heart-string and look at this case in the business sense – the same way Aruba gov’t views it. If they had a heart they would have kept Beth informed – they are full of BS. If you can’t see it now your blind.

Many yrs ago I was involved w/helping americans adopt with a eastern communist country that had thousands of orphans. Many authorities of this country knew they had the heart-string of couples whom selected a child to adopt, they would postpone the process until they financially and emotionally drained them. They viewed it not as helping orphans, but whom made the most money. Sometimes the same child would be up for adoption mulltiple times like selling a used car. When your heart is about money, emotions are non-existent. The two do not go hand-in-hand. It’s black and white; yes or no. Couples whom did not let their emotion get involved and viewed it as a busy deal succeeded in bringing home their adoptees. Couples whom viewed it as love and emotional experience lost thousands and came home w/nothing except broken hearts. Business is business; and as sad as this tradegy is you have to leave emotions at home and deal with the Aruban gov’t as a business deal gone sour.

Aruba has no intentions on helping and I pray that the Holloway-Twitty’s do not fall for anymore scams by the Aruban LE and gov’t. Do not beleive them. If you give in now and trust them; they will continue to postpone until all avenues and followers of this case have emotionally given up. Then Natalee and many others will never be served justice.

IU am sure many people in Aruba have good hearts but the local gov’t will most likely take their business license if they help – and in order to survive they blackmail them. Paulus and van der Stratten probably has dirty laundry on many judges and they are blackmailing them into releasing the suspects. They will never help the Holloway-Twittys. It has been a scam since day one.

Those who write otherwise on this board telling you to be patient are the equivalent of our lobbyists – trying to get at your heart strings to say nice things they can post on their travel web-site to play down the episode. If they work it right – they will win.

The new requirement for travel permits will begin January 1 at which time they are expecting a 30% in business.

Another thing – http://www.scaredmonkeys.com is doing an awesome job! I used to read Reihlworldview; but this web-site is much more pro-active in helping the momentum of finding Natalee become a reality. It might help to get the US admin to suspend aid to the islands, the US gov’t will only give aide if they show true democracy and they obviously faulted in this this case. Also, the US company that owns the landfill can be requested to hold its own investigation stateside and do more searches on the island. There are also many US Corporations whom use Arbuan as a free-tax zone; write to get them to leaving the island will help as well.

This may hurt the innocent Arubans trying to make a living; but I’m sure in their hearts they realize this is the only way it can be solved. I’m sure many of them would love to see a real non-corrupt gov’t in place – but realize they will risk their lives if they get involved.

I’m certain Natalee can be found – it’s just going to take numerous individuals to get it done. We have email addresses – so we can easily get several millions to write letters to those in the US that have the power to shut the Aruban business trade down.

In reply to Matt’s message “how can you classify it as rape” , well this is how:
Their own law states that if a person is unable to give consent (which Joran admittedly said that she was in and out of consciousness) IT IS RAPE! Even the charges (or as Aruba calls them “suspicions”) state that in the record and include murder and kidnapping. Let’s remember, Natalee thought she was getting into an Aruban can (few of them are marked “taxi”, they look like any other vehicle). Had she known she was not sharing a taxi with a “Dutch foreign exchange student” which is how Joran presented himself (lie number one), she would have never gotten into the awaiting car to meet her demise.
Whether Natalee had too much to drink OR most likely she was slipped some Rhohipnol (date rape drug for a small $25 fee to the bartender), she did not deserve any of what has happened to her, least of all a gang rape by “the pimps” (Freddie, Satish, Depak and Joran called themselves that on their Tickle web site – which their pages are no longer available for viewing I might add).

Why don’t the Aruban people stand up for their country? They had no problem protesting Beth Twitty when she called Depak a “predator” and forced her to apologize for her remarks which made my blood boil.
How can they sit on their hands and allow these suspects to ruin their good name? For the most part, the Aruban people are wonderful, kind, generous, caring and friendly. The parties involved in the Natalee Holloway case I am sure are the exception, not the rule. However there does exisit a sense of Dutch superiority in Aruba (white skinned over dark skinned one may conclude).
ARUBA citizens, stand up to your police officials and Dutch judges who are not doing right by you.

    44. Marketa on September 21st, 2005 1:11 pm

I agree wigh Matt. We need to focus on the facts here and not let ourselves be overlwhelmed by the emotional circus media is trying to create. What happened in Aruba could happen anywhere in the world all the same. And I would not be so quick to criticize the Aruban legal system, either. Each country has its own ways to pursue justice and Americans should respect that and let the Aruban police do their job. Finally, it is everyone’s responsibility to mind their safety at all times, expecially when in an environment which you are not familiar with and even more so if you are a woman. Being a woman myself, I would consider it extremely risky to get into a car with three unknown men in the middle of the night in a foreign country. And if she was drunk or drugged where were her friends? Do not get me wrong, I feel deeply sorry for Natalee and her parents, just do not like all the insane emotional accusations that fly in the air.

    45. Gunner on September 21st, 2005 1:37 pm

First, I must say without hesitation, that the Van der Sloots (junior and senior) and the kalpoe brothers are all guilty of rape, murder, and lying to the prosecutor / police, etc. The fact that the Senior Van der Sloot was out at 3:00 – 4:00AM, twice hitting ATM’s for large cash withdrawals leads one to believe he was paying someone to make fish bait out of the young lady’s body. The Senior Van der Sloot then further was heard commenting that no body – no crime. They are all guilty and deserve to be hung or electrocuted, whichever.

Lastly, I will say that parents in America should be very careful in the choices of allowing our children to go to any place that allows teenagers to drink alcohol. This in itself sets a child up to become targets of foul play. I know that Mrs. Holloway (Twitty) would like to have that decision again to make. For her and her family, I am deeply saddened at her loss. We need to BOYCOTT that place for the next 100 years.

    46. Rafael on September 22nd, 2005 2:56 pm

      Lisabobeesa,
bravo for being one of the few people from the island that is not afraid to speak the truth. Your heart is in the right place.

    47. Jarrad Rice on September 27th, 2005 2:29 pm

To all of the people posting here that are from Aruba:

Joran admitted that he lied to the police. That is a crime and should be punished, but instead they release him and send him off to attend college. Everyone with an ounce of intelligence knows that he and the Kalpoe brothers murdered Natalee. I too am sick of hearing about this in the media day after day, but I’m sick for a different reason. I’m sick because the Holloway family will never have any justice in Aruba. This “no body, no crime” is pure crap. We all know they had many days to get rid of the body and clean up any evidence. Whether the officials on Aruba are corrupt and aided the father I’m not going to conjecture. Bottom line, all three of those guys, Joran, Depak and Satish should still be in jail. What signal is Aruba sending to the rest of the world: Crime goes unpunished in Aruba and anyone can commit a murber and get away with it. Aruba is not somewhere I would want to take my family for a vacation. I hope the rest of the world feels the same way and will also boycott this country. Maybe then the corrupt officials will be forced to do the right thing and punish those responsible for Natalee’s murder.

    48. Mary (Canada)Delorme on October 8th, 2005 6:02 am

What happened in Aruba is disgusting. Beth, don’t give up. If I
was Beth I would hound Joran & tell everyone within hearing
distance what him and his low life friends did. I heard Beth was
going to the Netherlands, well girl go over there and do your
thing. complain to the goverment over how Aruba treats the
tourist and that they are willing to give these 4 jerks a free pass
The Judge, Joran, the Deepak brothers and also the godfather
should all be charged. In all this the people of Aruba deserve a
better goverment. They are honest and hard working people but
they won’t be heard. Boycott the island, maybe american’s and
canadians and everyother country can make a difference. By the
way. To the people who are tired of lissening to Beth, I wonder
what you would do if it was your child. You people sound like
she was a throw away. SHAME ON YOU.
