WILLEMSTAD – De Arubaanse minister van Justitie Croes wil dat de Nederlandse regering het eiland verdedigt bij de Amerikaanse autoriteiten.
Ook wil Croes dat Den Haag officieel steun betuigt aan Aruba, omdat er volgens hem sytematisch spookverhalen verschijnen in de Amerikaanse media over de verdwijning van de Amerikaanse scholiere Natalee Holloway. Croes zei dat maandag na afloop van een overleg op CuraËcao met de ministers Donner (Justitie) en Pechtold (Koninkrijksrelaties) en de Antilliaanse justitieminister Dick.

This morning dutch newswire reported that Aruban justice minister Rudy Croes complained to his dutch counterpart Piet Hein Donner about the attitude of the American press in this case. ‘The reputation of the island is damaged by false reports about crime and general American mistrust of the Aruban justice system’, Croes said. ‘Aruba is a part of the Netherlands and so the reputation of the Netherlands as a whole is damaged by these press reports’.
Donner promised to relay the message to the Dutch embassy in the United States. But he’s convinced that the American government is well aware of the fact that everything is being done that needs to be done.

WILLEMSTAD – The Aruban Justice minister Croes wants the Dutch government to defend the reputation of the Island by the American authorities.
Croes wants also the official support from The Hague because, according to him ,the American press makes up ghost stories about the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Croes said that Monday after a meeting with minister Donner (Justice) and Pechtold (Kingdom relations) and the Antillean justice minister Dick.
The minister is afraid for the consequences the negative press reports can have for the influx of American tourists. Some American networks present Aruba as an Island full of crime where gambling, drinking and drugs dealing is common. Also the police investigation and the JD has come under criticism. ”The believability of our justice system has come under fire” Croes told, ”we have the same system everywhere in the kingdom so the credibility of The Netherlands is dragged trough the mud”.
In Aruba 45.000 people are dependent on tourism. ”we cannot sit and watch the slandering of our name. We want The Netherlands to give us support”. Minister Donner agrees with his colleague. In a reaction he said the give matter attention with the foreign department. ”we must see how to prevent major damage to the island Aruba. Maybe we can trough our embassy in the United States correct the view of the press”.
That the American authorities criticized the Aruban government denies Donner. ” I am convinced that the American government is well aware of the fact that everything is being done that needs to be done”. The American press is already on the island for weeks covering the disappearance of Holloway.

Hey, finally something i can read and fully understand
You guys should ask yourself one question: why would a young girl go to Aruba? To see and learn from another culture and to explore it? Yeah right, and I go to Vegas to see the Vangoover dam or whatever. That girl went to Aruba to get drunk stoned and laid. She went to Aruba to party, to dance and flirt with boys (or girls) who she didn’t know, and whom she didn’t want to know. and that is exactly what she got. Unfortunatly, she met the wrong guy…
But that is no reason to avoid the island. Just don’t take (too much) drugs, don’t drink (too much) alcohol. Then you will find out that Aruba is a beautifull Island, but, as everywhere in the world, there are always people who want to take advantages of the dumb. Has something to do with Darwin i believe.
I feel that the people of ARuba should welcome any help in solving this issue and restore their dignity to their country

She is missing now for over a month. Any soveriegnty would be alarmed, concerned and persistent in finding their child.
Does anyone know what is going on with the Diario reporter (Hubert?) who was following a group trying to get off Aruba to S. America? He called into FOX live last week? After that live phone call, nothing was mentioned again. I checked Diario’s site and his name was credible.
Come on Gerrit, I don’t know if you’re a parent, but as a parent you will do and say anything to get your child back. It must be so frustrating for the family, I for one don’t judge a mother of a missing person.

If they found her body, why would reporters and her family still be in Aruba? On Vacation? I don’t think so. Who is to even sat Natalee is dead? We found Elizabeth Smart almost a year later!!! We Americans realize there are many problems within our own country as does any country realize their own misfortunes, but the issue with the case of Natalee has us really questioning the integrity of the Dutch system and the Aruban bureaucracy system. We know we have missing people and that it happens every day, we know about Iraq but it does not mean we all approve of this war. There are missing people in Iraq —- um, because we are in a war. This war has nothing to do with the average American — it has to do with a President who should have never been in the position he was bestowed (in my opinion).
What you don’t understand is that Americans are smart, we don’t like when others try to pull the wool over our eyes. When we smell a rat, we smell a rat and Aruba if full of rats in their government. It is sooooo obvious that people over there know what happened or is happening and they will not press forward any information to help. That is why this case is different than an everyday missing person in American or in Iraq. Alot of people really do not know what happened to help. Natalee’s case leaves too many indications of deception from their own government. This is very scary. Also, you should not be calling anyone a Bitch that you do not know — you stated that people shouldn’t going around calling people guilty if they do not know and here you are calling someone a dispicable name and you don’t even know her.

It is so stupid to go to the Netherlands and cry about the negative publicity the media is giving us related to the NH case… I say, let the American public be the judge of where they want to spend their vacation dollars. Trying to invoke international pressure (which would be a humbling experience anyways) would probably create an even bigger backlash. What he (Croes) should be asking for is international judicial backup, Interpol, DEA and the CIA. Since this case is an international case between the Kingdom and the USA, these agencies should be invoked, instead of the family-linked-FBI agents.

Lastnight Shango talked of finding natalee only if the cowboys refuse the peace pipe. Some of us took this to mean “refuse to just accept the body” when it’s found and stay to continue probing to get to the bottom of who actually did it. I’m wondering now if it does not mean some type of deal or plea bargain or something. Also mention that the “cowboys would smile” with their “backs to the maze” where all the crazy stuff went down. Makes it seem that the team will find what they are looking for, but if they don’t stay and push, we won’ t ever know where the crime happened or what happened.
I have a sick feeling like others, this is not right. I find it hard to believe they are running a perfect investigation with the ups and downs. This is playing out on a larger level if you ask me. Bush should be saying or doing something. He’s got two daughters a little older, if it was one of them, well, you know what I’m saying. I know we can’t just invade another country, but I think beyond the US media, the US has been eerily quiet, and I think that is strange.
I think if this is large, the spiders web extends to many different countries, possibly back to the US.

It’s always good to know people who can advance your ideas/projects, etc. It’s a matter of respect for those he knows that he continues to name them as his friends, associates, etc. He may come across as arrogant, or self-serving, or even a little bullyish, but that’s how things get accomplished in a lot of situations down south. A man stands up for his family, goes to the wall for them, uses whatever resources he can draw on to accomplish what he considers necessary for the benefit of his family — and in the South, step-kids don’t necessarily mean they’re stepped away from….they’re gathered into the fold of the family. I would venture to say that Jug really doesn’t care what you people, or anyone, thinks about him – he just wants the little girl he’s helped to raise back where she belongs and he’s risking a lot by staying in Aruba trying to find her.

Natalee had a few friends who are from families that were able to sacrifice by flying the family to Aruba immediately since time was of the essence.
Though I don’t know the Twittys, my son was on the trip. There are not a lot of stepfathers who would give the kind of support to Beth that he has given. He did not prepare for this role to be thrust into the spotlight. If he had, I am sure he would have gone by his given name.
This family has got to be exhausted, frustrated and nearing desperation. Their hope may be turning to anger by now. Mine would. These people need the kindest that every human heart can extend. None of us know if Joran is guilty of a crime, but lying to a desperate and fearful mother just doesn’t make him look like he had nothing to hide.

I believe that the party everyone is getting confused about is the party that we had the last night of the trip back at the hotel. Some of us on the trip all got together at the pool with food and drinks just to put a nice little gathering for the end of a great trip, so we thought. Only about a quarter of the people on the trip ended up coming though, many were sleeping or went for one last stroll on the beach. A LOT of people were down on the beach. No one really talked to Joran. Like I said maybe 4 hours spread out among a few days that we actually saw him, and most of that time was him being in the ca$in0.

Deb and Kat…there is a photo that Fox News shows on a pretty much daily basis of 5 girls on the beach , Nat is standing to the far left. She has a green and white sleevless lowline neck blouse on w/ a bluejean skirt and also was said to have on brown flip flops. That is what she was wearing that Sunday evening. Only a quarter of the people on the trip flew out, everyone else stayed. There were 15 people who had different flight plan than the rest of us and they left and were detained when they arived in the states. We were detained for a few days to answer questions and to search. Chaperones did not allow us to get on the plane unless everyone was present and accounted for. When she did not know up it was obvious something was wrong. Once people started looking at each other and going “What? Natalee is’nt here? Thats weird” Major problems there.

I have heard from the time Croes was arrested that he was either 1) a drug user the Kalpoes bought or used drugs with 2) Kalpoes friend that Joran got his daterape drugs from. In any case did you see the people that were on the news in Croes home lastnight on the news? I know if you live on the Island of Aruba you have a nice brown tan. They people look like they been hold up in a house doing drugs for weeks on end..did anyone else get that feeling?

You mention a party at the hotel that night. When did this party end. Was it long after you, others and Natalees (apparent departure) from C&C’s?
If you were there, as others close to Natalee, was there concern about her whereabouts? Also, the number of people on the beach. The time line here for the party would appear to make it very difficult for someone not to see anything if an accident or foul play was involved near or in proximity of the hotel, including the area by the Marriott.

Not really, vander. It was your words, rather than your spelling, that were dismaying. You sound frustrated for reasons I cannot understand, but it is not kind to arrive and slam people for caring about the case. Their reasons are not known to you.
“They are from the Netherland” does not mean the Dutch government. Caren Janssen, the Aruba AG is from the Netherland. Vand der Stratten the police chef is from the Netherland. Paul van der Sloot, the Aruba justice ministry official, is from the Netherland. All of the judges in Aruba, and likely in Curacao are from the Netherland.
None of them are willing to prosecute Paul or his son from the crime they committed in Aruba.
Like I posted earlier today, the more and more I read about “so and so cannot do this or that to PVDS’s son” and the other apparent corruption and disruption of the investigation; my attraction to Aruba has been poisoned. It is seeming more and more like there is going to be one big fish-fry and all the dirty fish, big and small are trying to cover their asses.
For all we know, the “hits” that the dogs had yesterday may very well be one or more other corpses that may not even be Natalee. I have a very strong feeling that many heads are going to roll and a lot of people will eventually be arrested.
My friends and I will NOT be repeating our yearly winter retreat this year. Between 8 women and one weeks worth of shopping, lodging, eating and so on, that translates to only a tiny drop in the bucket. For us, that translates to roughly $2500 each.
Another thought has crossed my mind…I am wondering how many of the officials have been hand picked by the underground government there…the drug lords. Remember, no country is any different, this includes the U.S.. Money == Power. Power == Control.
The “power” seems to have been content with allowing the island to put on a festive tourist disguise while the real evil lurks in every shadow. Seems all to easy to get drugs in and out, and for money to be laundered with people from all over the world spending money there. Seems even easier for a drug courier to blend right in with the tourists.
Until the people of Aruba can prove that they are honest and send the dirty officials to prison, my respect for the island has been lost.

Last night on Greta, there was the guy who owns the big newspaper the dario or however it is spelled. He said inside sources led him to believe there were going to more arrests.

Remember, when they took Joran and the Kalpoes in custody, they were considered as witnesses. The Aruba investigators accepted to consider Joran and the Kalpoes as suspects only when the investigators were forced to let the innocent security guards go.
The investigators never sought to get the truth out of them. Joran and the kalpoe were instead searching for way to corroborate their stories and prove innocent. Mother Anita played a role there, after Father was not allowed to visit with his son.

I have been watching this board, riehlworld, Greta, etc. since the onset of this saga. I have believed all along that the 3 boys did drug and rape Natalee. Then I feel like something happened that none of the 3 dreamed would happen. Like maybe she drowned while trying to swim under the influence, or maybe she did “loose her mind” and stay behind by herself thus to be picked up by some weirdos. I have believed that Natalee is being held against her will somewhere. If so, what’s to say that the one(s) holding her are even paying any attention to the press. Perhaps they do not operate that way. Perhaps they do not want a ransom, only a sex slave. Why would they want to return her.

DFW Guy….a blogger from Boston reported seeing a very distraught woman fitting Natalee’s description trying unsuccessfully to get money from an ATM machine at the Marriott the night she disappeared. He was so concerned about her that he reported to the Hotel staff…he observed her for about 20 minutes…where did you hear about the money withdrawl?
All the DNA tests conducted in the Natalee case, were done in Miami, except samples taken from the Van der Sloot home, which were sent to the Netherland. No one know if they were truely sent. And no one knows the result.

If a guy was on the beach with a girl (especially a tourist) and they had sexual relations and he actually did leave the scene and start walking home. I saw a video clip awhile ago saying something about the search team said if Natalee was in the water they would never find her. Something about currents washing you yards and yards away from Aruba.

I had also heard the father told the three boys what might happen to them if they were arrested which leads me to believe that he went into details on what to say and what not to say. Forgive me but I think he is covering up for his son or either was involved with helping him destroy evidence.

A woman went missing and was found dead not even 10 miles from me and I didnt even know she was missing. All from waiting to hear the next report from this. Ok is it true that the security guard said this about the 3 suspects and papa vds? Because that is what the brothers mom said on her interview with Greta when they first talked to her that they met and got their story straight about dropping her off at the hotel this came after she asked them why they lied to moma(her) in the first place. She didn’t mention papa vds in her story though.
In the Aruban media it has been reported that the police have found out that Natalee’s ex-boyfriend was on the trip. Somehow the other kids failed to mention this.
At the same time it was said that they want to speak to the stepfather.

I wonder what avenues Natalee’s mom has considered besides the psychics on the island (even though they probably approached her). When there’s nothing new in an investigation, I think non-traditional approaches (like astrology, for instance) could be useful, moreso than false leads by mistaken tipsters.

Yes, it is true that the one security guard told Greta Van Sustern that Deepak told him, “Joran’s father helped to make a cover story for them. Joran’s father told them to say that Natalee was with them and dropped her at her hotel.” This is a man with legal experience and with power and very familiar with the Dutch/Aruban justice system. Why would he need for his son to have a cover story unless something had gone down?
Who would know better what evidence could be damning and what evidence would need to disappear better than a judge-in-training? Who would know better other than forensic experts how long it would take for a “corpse” (forgive the bluntness) to dissapate.
I do not claim to be psychic. I told someone a few days ago, I just feel things about some things that happen and do not control them or talk about them. I am pretty anonymous here and so I feel I can say things without having someone say, what are you trying to do pretend to be a psychic. I have no vested interest here.
I want to see this girl return to Alabama. She deserves that. I wish I could help the people there looking for Natalee in some way. Before, I have had these feelings and been right on certain occasions. I knew what happened to Susan Smiths kids the day after they disappeared, I knew what happened to Lori Hacking, I knew when one of my sister in laws were developing a terminal illness before they knew they were that sick, I knew great changes would come in my life and they did, I knew they would find Robert Blake not guilty. Whether or not he is, he did not pull the trigger. I just get these feelings and sometimes dreams. I really believe Natalee is there on the island.
I cannot imagine them just dropping Natalee in the ocean without anchor or heavyweight because they run certain risks of her washing back up on shore.

It is really hard to take some of the bs that has been posted on here serious, especially people claiming there is some big conspiracy (on the side of the Aruban judigal (sp?) system). It seems to me that some people are drawing conclusions way to early, and the media (and with that I mean FOX) has been pulling way out of proportions.
What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty, because from were I’m standing there has absolutely been no proof so far about, well, anything. Nothing released yet proofs Joran and co did anything. With that I am not saying that they have not done anything (that is not the point of what I am trying to say), but people, maybe just maybe these kids (because they are just that) are ‘not talking’ because they don’t actually know anything.
Multiple news sources I have read (and seen) have reported Joran has been questioned by the local police with very high presure (hours upon hours), presure that in the past has made others admit to things they didn’t even do. Can you believe they said Joran was afraid of getting in trouble for leaving the house? It seems like they would know that their son is into gambling, drinking and partying. Unfortunately, there are so many people who practice it that seem to have a limited understanding of its principles. I think my belief in it became more solid when I read an astrologer’s prediction of the whereabouts of Chandra Levy, posted well before the discovery of her body. His description of where she could be found was right on. I wish I could remember the website.
I don’t know terribly much about the Bible Code. I would, however, be very interested to know what it says about me. I agree with you also about your feelings. For some strange reason I feel that someone is holding her on the island. I feel that the father and son are very involved in her disappearance. For some reason money keeps coming to mind. But for some strange reason I feel she is alive. The timing of all this happening when the mother was away was perfect for whatever they were planning. What I can say is that, from what I heard tonight in the interview with Jorans parents on NOVA, is that a big group of people marched into his home with police ect on the 30th/31st (Not that that detail matters so I wont go into it further…) including the girls parents. If I was him, and if I were innocent (and again: IF, I DON’T KNOW =p), I might have lied to. Why? I’d be pretty shocked. Honoustly: Wouldn’t you be? People do weird things when under presure, heck, as I said in my previous post here: if under enough presure you can make someone admit to stuff they haven’t done. It might have even had to do with the fact Joran, uh, ‘had relations’ with Natalee that night and he wasn’t comfortable with telling that to her parents so he ‘freaked’ and told a wholely different story. I can think of more then enough reasons why Joran might have said what he said.

Maybe you trust your media 100%, but I certainly don’t. News about this ‘case’ is especially… Lets say, conflicting. I haven’t seen or read any solid proof about your particular piece of info about him being at school.
But what I can say is that in the interview Joran’s parents gave they came over as honoust people to me. They were sounded very concerned about the whereabouts of Natalee (his mother wore a blue ‘band’ on her arm, Im unknown with it, but it seems like one of those things that are popular recently…). Dad certainly did not sound like the evil master mind some people make him out to be. Maybe I am wrong, maybe they are manipulating the media here. Who knows? But the same can be said for the coverage of Fox, it all seems so… Negative.
With that being said I am unsure if the pixture some people are making Joran to be is true. Others have said he was a pretty normal kid. A lot of boys are cocky. Who knows?

I am not discounting what you read, but the parents of Amy Bradley told their story only a few days after Natalee went missing and they said she was seen in South America. Which has alot to do with all the “rumors”about Columbians and all the rumors about sex slaves. Lots of stories about sex slave industry and black market in South America. As well as, Columbian drug dynasties.
Rane Jvds mom said it on national news about Joran being at school the next day and so did the dad. And it might not have been the very next day he called him but it was within a few days of Sunday night. She said the dad called him because he was talking too much and they were afraid he was gonna get into trouble. Now don’t you think if they knew this happened they had to bring it out first so they could say that they were concerned for him? I am keeping and open mind here I am just stating fact of what they said on TV. The dad also said he woke Joran up for school the next morning.

I agree with you. An open mind is needed to achieve justice, so that the real guilty party or parties get caught, judged and punished, whether they are Joran, Kalpoes, or someother possibility.
Unfortunately the process has been slow, everyone feels impotent and inclined to condemn and punish fast, without due legal process.

I dont know why NAT caught my attention…I had briefly heard that an american girl had gone missing…..started researching into aruba…sought out a few site.. and at first this blog site seemed to be grounded…over the last few weeks it has turned into a big dog pile….as in so many dogs in one place that you cant tell one fromthe other..fact from fiction…true concern from shock value….. but then again I keep comming back….at first I had hoped to read others what ifs…reguarding real stuff….then we started with all this crypted stuff….then people picking out sentences instead of reading through blogs….like I said before thisisnt a foot ball game….thisis the life of one girl who has come to personify for many of us….much of the plight of many of our nations…and our children….I think if we do take a good long look at ALL that is going on here and abroad we will get a gullett full of the evils that attack our very core…thank god for rules I say…if they doindeed protect the innocent……but I am not seeing that in muchof this…god willing I am wrong….

The abovementioned interview makes me indeed wonder if Joran really left her on the beach ALONE. They must have met somebody after the Deepak brothers dropped them off, because why would he say that he should have brought her (Natalee) to a responsible adult? What happened? Was she in trouble? Was she drugged/drunk/sick? Did she seek for help? Who is that unresponsible person he maybe left her with? I wonder if that is person nr. 5 who was interrogated in this case but had an solid aliby because according to his friends he stayed in the house the whole night? (Lorenzo the son of the deceased VW car dealer?).

Hopefloats: I’m not a US national, I’m Dutch. So I wouldn’t know what is on ‘national telivision’. I sometimes watch CNN, and rarely switch over to FOX (mainly to have a laugh, since the amount of propaganda is, well, just funny I guess =p ). Coverage over here has only been picking up slowly, actually only after the Americans started stressing about it so much. Yes, stressing. Overobsessing I’d say. Sad as it is it IS only one girl, more then enough other missing people that do not get this attention, why exactly should she? Because the surrounding story is easily turned into a circus? Easily made into a conspiracy? I certainly think so.
scared, I do not know whether she was actually seen or not, but her parents were on one of the news networks and they posed the theory that it had happened to Natalee as well. I do not know about Amy. I do know that people are so hip in finding excuses for Joran, not just in giving him the benefit of the doubt, but to make it as though Natalee were more at fault for her own disappearance if there is foulplay. Interesting.
Moving on……………………..here again is the website where you can see that Joran was going to party gatherings and drinking to passing out. This was on 12/29/04. Interesting that his mother says they run a strict household. That would make him around 15.

And besides: Sweating heavily is a natural reaction for a lot of people when some one is under stress, getting interviewed for TV, and having to pick every word very very carefully as people seem to like to misinterpate things very much.

I am not one of these that believes anything the news media themselves say unless I see it with my own eyes and I did see this mom and dad say exactly what I stated here. I personally do not think the father was the UNresponsible adult. But hey, I am just a reader/observer in this case. But I really believe it is much bigger than the media covers… Until that time Joran and the brothers Deepak probably will stay in custody. But who knows, the judge can rule by lack of evidence they will soon be released.
I truly hope for all parties there will soon be an end to this horrible case.
Anyway, really got the sleep now, I have te get up in 4 hrs. Nevertheless, I stay tuned…

Someone named Lorenzo was detained and questioned yesterday, but we don’t think he has been arrested yet. He is known to be a nutcase, maybe capable of something. His dad owned the Volkswagon dealership there but committed suicide 3 years ago and was found hanging in the hallway of their home. Finally, someone suggested that maybe Natalee was taken to an “underground party”. Hello WaWa here. If you will lookd back, I have been watching this story for many weeks. I clearly feel that Nat is alive. She is in the henads of someone, somewhere. joran and boys could not have pulled this off………….i promise you…….she is alive…..not in good shape, but alive….I trust God and I feel this. This story is so tainted. Way too much speculation. I hope that we can all put this to rest very soon.
