Hillary: Oil Companies Profits Should Go To The Government

You have to see this if you are not thinking that Hillary Clinton is a danger to free markets in the world. She announced at the DNC winter meetings that oil company profits should not go to the shareholders who took the risk, but instead to the government for her to control.

Watch this and be very afraid. Remember, it was a decade ago she tried to grab your health care dollars.

Hillary and Hugo are not that far to the left. From each other that is. She’s a closet Communist.

Let’s look at the bright side of Hillary winning the Democratic nomination for President in ’08. At least we will have another four years with a Republican in office :-) If Hillary wins, which she will NOT, our country is doomed!

Now lets just think about this woman a second ?
Can she be this jaded into thinking that she can say things like this and we the public will listen to it?
She is a very scary prospect to run our country and may the people of NY that keep voteing for her Bless em, I hope that they keep her there years to come .

Oh my GOD!!! What in the hell is Hitlary thinking????

We have alternative energy sources. We have the ability to retrofit our existing autos with Hydrogen fuel. At least we used to have it. The Consumer Product Safety Commision has now made it ILLEGAL for consumers (that would be us) to own or have in our posession the chemicals necessary to make it work!!

    6. Skyboxx on February 2nd, 2007 8:24 pm

Well, well, well now. Looky what we have here. Queen Hillary is suggesting nationalizing our own oil industry with the profits going directly to “her government”. Didn’t Chavez recently say that oil in his country should be nationalized with profits going to their country? Isn’t that was Ahmed-NUT JOB ididmymom, said in Iran?

Hillary was the one behind travel gate, Hillary pushed to have power when her husband was president, he appointed her over universal healthcare reform. She wasn’t elected. She demaned her own staff, not first lady type staff, like others in the white house, she had her own poltical working staff. She demanded Bill push and help her get elected in NY, (behind the scenes stuff, check it out) for her STANDING by HER MAN during his faux pax in the WH. Vince Foster, well lets pretend he committed suicide, anyone want to guess why?

Hillary cannot and will not win in ’08. But this is going to be so much fun to watch.

    7. tuyvnsurvivor on February 2nd, 2007 8:29 pm

I make a living trading for myself. I trade many domestic energy stocks and biotechs particularly cancer and implants. It is a long hard study, lots of hours of research. Has got to be your passion to spend so much time…if you call it work it is just too much work to be attractive. By far most people lose at such trading. Anyone with a few bucks or a credit card can give it a try.

If you take the combined losses folks have over time chasing a profit on energy, the gov cannot take the hit. Take the oil stocks from me? Guess my royalties go next. Who then? The corn farmer? Why not the churches, the highway patrol of states, quilting clubs that make for the needy, ScaredMonkeys, sex operations, and dog food. I am a conservative only because they have the brightest individuals, but this take away thing will grow, not yet, but it will because we are growing decent against the establishment at all levels. And no politician is platforming a population control…tax wise or anyother wise. As a former school board member, it was an easy notice that soon non-do’ers out number us. Hellery a couple of decades early trying to reward those who did-not do-not will-not participate.

The sobering assessment from the National Intelligence Council was seen by congressional Democrats – and some Republicans – as new evidence that President Bush’s Iraq policy is failing.

add foley in their and you have a party full of sch&**

    10. SL-Gloria on February 2nd, 2007 9:53 pm

Who’s failing? The one with guts or the chickens that deny the true defenders of American sovereignty the full support needed to cripple hostile forces that are not only after Republicans but Democrats too?

But maybe you are correct…the policy in Iraq perhaps failed the minute President Bush and his advisers decided to halt military action against Saddam after the U. S.-led coalition forces liberated Kuwait City in February 1991. Gen. Schwarzkopf should have marched into Baghdad.

But it is never too late to win “another” one for the Gipper!

    11. Scared Monkeys on February 2nd, 2007 10:31 pm

      Hey Tex

How did this switch from Hillary’s pledge to abscond shareholders property to the War in Iraq?

I know this is not what you want to hear, but stay on topic. You guys are backing one hell of a scary person, and the sooner it is recognized the better for our nation.

nationalize the porn industry? now there’s a fine idea. pure profit, reasonably green, why haven’t they thought of that before?

    14. Bodo on February 3rd, 2007 5:16 am

Sounds like Hillary is talking about imposing a windfall profits tax on the oil companies. Jimmy Carter was president when Congress imposed the windfall profits tax on the oil companies in 1980. Gasoline prices, after rocketing up from around .40 cents a gallon before the 1973 Arab oil embargo, continued to climb after the oil embargo ended in the spring of 1974 until the price of gasoline peaked at about $1.70 a gallon in 1981.

With the windfall profits tax in place when the Gipper was elected, the price of gasoline fell like a rock to around .85 cents a gallon in 1986 when Reagan urged Congress to repeal the tax. The tax did its job and raised a lot of revenue, though not nearly as much as was projected, at a time when the oil company profits was huge. Congress repealed that tax in 1988.

Sounds like Hillary wants to push Congress to do it again.

    15. Richard on February 3rd, 2007 6:44 am

Interesting, #7, so do I … well, let me put it this way: I TRY to. Hope you’re doing better than I am.

Everyone likes to put the oil companies in the pillory. Wait until they tell the government to shove it and allocate resources to more profitable markets.

The Wall Street Journal has run some pretty good articles recently about the hypocritical pleas of the ethanol industry for government bailouts. Little did anyone figure that the price of corn is surging, in part due to demand for ethanol … and that has inflationary implications for food and livestock prices.

Not only that, ethanol apparently can’t be moved via the pipelines that are used to move fuel. So it has to be shipped, largely via railroads.

And the actual efficiency of ethanol vs. gasoline is hotly debated.

So with one thing and another, the industry is suffering.

But not to worry … some industry figures are calling for the federal government to underwrite their costs and guarantee a base price. In other words: subsidies.

      Doesn’t look good.

#15, good to see you here. I need to be carefull what I say because I see you are a good study.

I have been affraid of how radical liberals who either have too many uncared for kids or sell themselves out to sympathy would get. I had picked Hellery to win in 08, don’t want her, just thought she would win. But I now think her announcing early will zap her, as she has too much time now to expose her true hatefullness. I feel her to be extremely evil and a person to be feared. Though we are heading to liberals/do nothings wealth distribution phase. Next 20 years will make us closer to the new French. Unless, we have a great cycle change come on our society really quick of resorting back to the value of life, value of self inniciatives, respect of those who serve others, appreciation of our establishment — our identity, and yes this deserves in the mix — population control. Holy mackeral how many of ours and the worlds problems can be eased by population control. Does any one have the balls to talk about it at a national level? If only talking save a whale. lol. the ennormity of it

A person who raises 2 kids has a much better chance of devoting more guidance to them than if they have 3 to 17. Purely a mathematical wonder. And not as likely to want a handout.

I do not trade ethanol, I do read the XNL message boards now and then to see the zoo. I and 5 others spend some time each day helping to expose stock scams, report to the SEC and FBI…now and then a little result, though we do not trade those issues at all, and I do not short. I and a very few others in the ealier days of the net set up to help the terminally ill *of no conventional treatment options* find a less toxic late stage free med trial, more qualified folks have taken that over in an official capacity. No doubt you beat me trading, I am not so smart, but extremely creative…have invented an alternative energy of my own back in the 80′s, other lesser things too. Don’t sleep much. Geology is one of my loves, like to find solidified critters. I am a slow type trader, maybe 2 or 3 trades a day, some days none at all. Now and then a week of no trades. I am some interested in geothermal, more interested at this time of chasing domestics prime for takeovers. A niche to make some loot in this stagnant time of the field. I live in a newly found ennormous oil and gas field, some enlightenments by having the messes all around our once pristine and splindid life.

SO all these learnings, the interest, late hours of research, as liberals nationalize things, who will care to make the hard studies. Incentive flees. I planted a few peach trees today, as I also raise a little food for the world to eat, but if Hellery and Fonda want to set up a park under my beautifull fruit crops — I will poison every tree first. Like many of the logs, records and techniques would be done on the oil fields. Give it to em…give em something.

Ah, the idea of this kind of a power grad must make Hillary’s shrunken, hard, socialist heart beat all aflutter. In addition to undermining the war effort, the socialist only have two years to wreck the economy, the envy of the world right now.

This is Commander-in-Chief, Maximum Ruler for Life Hillary’s first major stab at doing that. She is implying that our old evil capitalist ways just have to go and she will be the one to make them do so.

Tax increases, minimum wage increases (see those exempt in Pelosi’s OWN district) and pledging trillions with a “T” to global warming, never mind it is likely a natural phenomenon and cannot be controlled–Sun is largely responsible–and if they work really fast, maybe they can have the economy in shambles by Election 2008. At least they have to give it their best shot, it’s the only chance they have.

Fear this woman. You are looking at unmasked and pure greed for power at any cost. And I mean any.

Those that comprise this new majority in our Congress couldn’t care less about energy, global warming (said it was a return to the Ice Age in the 70′s but didn’t matter as we would all starve to death long before it got here from overpopulation, individual rights or freedoms, the global war on terror or anything else other than grabbing as much power and control over us all, including legitimate businesses, as possible.

They still believe in the Utopian socialist dream and think that if only it was done THEIR way, it would work this time. Never got the memo from the failed experiment of the Soviet Union and even if they did, their denial is so strong they will never believe it doesn’t work.

With them in power, we, too, just like the French, can easily double our unemployment rate in no time at all, lose the war in Iraq with its greater ramifications for the Global Jihad being waged against us that they deny even exists and have a bankrupt economy and failing health care system. Just hand over all your rights to this woman and her ilk and watch things really start to happen. All the wrong things, that is.

    21. Mortella on February 3rd, 2007 6:09 pm

And this is the same speech she lied in and said she would not have gone to war in Iraq despite being very vocal supporting Bush in doing so before he did.

It is also the one in which she says she will END (but not WIN) the war in Iraq the day she takes office if elected.

No, it surely doesn’t take much to surrender. And once they are freed up in that region, all the jihadists can turn their full attention to attacks on this country again. I surely do hope that campaign financing is being watched as never before for I am highly suspicious of some of the sources for support for the DNC and wonder if the same ones financing Carter could slip slush funds/soft money to those that they know will prevent any confrontation or stymie their plans in any way.

Just something else to think about. . .

    22. Ronnie2shues on February 3rd, 2007 6:22 pm

#12 Taking oil profits, as shrillery proposed, is doing just what you suggested — taking away your profits from investments/401K, etc.

Each of us should remember that these oil company profits (that shrillery implies as obscene) are represented in the common stock value of each of the oil companies. The very shares of stock that reside in mutual funds, retirement plans, and other investments.

What shrillery fails to mention (and she does know this) is that ‘taxing’ oil company profits (or profits of any other industry) will have a dramatic negative impact upon the stock market. Which will, in turn, devalue mutual funds, 401k, retirement plans, etc.

She knows this to be true. Yet she panders to the purilent democratic mantra of the ‘haves and have nots’ Her motive is not to be truthful, but to attempt to widen the gap that exists within our country.

One final thought as tax time rolls around. Don’t forget to pay your taxes. . . over 12 MILLION ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS need your support.

      #13 Nationalize the porn industry?

I read a Yahoo article recently that suggested the porn industry is Bigger than Hoeywood.

    24. Ronnie2shues on February 3rd, 2007 6:29 pm

#18 Who the hell do you think would control the ‘fund’? A group of well informed citizens?

Get real, the fund would be controlled by the government and would be used to fund initiatives that we don’t need nor want.

    25. super dave on February 3rd, 2007 6:49 pm

i think she still has my healthcare dollars. try buying six heart medication prescriptions and your insurance only pays about a third of the cost ! but come on now what have the republicans done for the middle class except to put it on the brink of extinction. you lose both ways or three ways if you count the liberals !
