RSSDemocratic Victory in Congress A Victory For Iran
If you think that our political elections are only an internal struggle in this country, you are sadly mistaken and the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of Iran wants to remind you of that. He seems to feel that the victory of the Democrats in the midterm election is a victory for all of Iran also.
TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday called U.S. President George W. Bush’s defeat in congressional elections a victory for Iran.
Bush has accused Iran of trying to make a nuclear bomb, being a state sponsor of terrorism and stoking sectarian conflict in Iraq, all charges Tehran denies.
“This issue (the elections) is not a purely domestic issue for America, but it is the defeat of Bush’s hawkish policies in the world,” Khamenei said in remarks reported by Iran’s student news agency ISNA on Friday.
“Since Washington’s hostile and hawkish policies have always been against the Iranian nation, this defeat is actually an obvious victory for the Iranian nation.”
The Democrats wrested control of both houses of Congress from the Republicans in this week’s mid-term elections, partly because of voter concern over the war in Iraq. via  Reuters.com.
I hope that quotes like these are brought out in 2008 for those elections. We tend to think our elections are only for ourselves, but it seems those whose interests line up against the United States do have a favorite party. That is very, very telling, don’tcha think?

would you support the idea of having talks with them about iraq, the middle east in general, as well as atomic development, or do you want to continue the policy of not talking to iran and syria?
Iran should have been first on the list.
They simply want PEACE as we ALLLLL do.

Their idea of Peace is a my way or the dieway. Please, they just want peace. If they just want peace so badly, why are they interfering in Iraq and sending terorists over the border to cause trouble in a country that is not there’s?

Actually, they want US the fmck out and want to spank us as
we leave… you know the rude and Iranian way.
But, if they have nurcular weapons then maybe we shouldnt
move to fast… afterall, that IS a LONG way to travel.

The Islamic extremists who rule Iran only want peace under a caliphate, or Islamic rule. No others allowed period. We are all infidels and considered as cattle to them to be sold or slaughtered but definitely subhuman.
Iran and Syria do not want to discuss anything with the US or any other western nations. They know what they want and how they are going to take it. And in many places in the world they are ahead of schedule.
They have trained an entire generation in their madarassas to this goal and they will not stop or settle for anything less. It is not open to discussion on their part and we have two options. We can fight it or we can surrender and become their cattle. 4000 French policemen injured this year in clashes with Muslim youth. So far. Coming to a city near you.
