Senator Jon Carry … Greetings From Irak … Please Halp Us

Are these who you were referring to Senator Kerry?

In my opinion, this was no joke gone bad but John Kerry’s real beliefs. He just happened to get called on the carpet of which he never expected to occur; not just by Republicans, but Democrats as well, like Harold Ford Jr and Claire McCaskill. Kerry was a complete no show for several political events like in Minnesota and Philadelphia, PA.  Also including the Grand Puba in the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton.

Comments to John Kerry’s words who really count.

(Drudge Report)

“You don’t use troops as the butt of your jokes,” said Gary Kurpius, commander in chief of Veterans of Foreign Wars. “The senator was attempting levity and it backfired, big time.”

Kerry showed what is in his heart. This is the way he believes. No apology can erase his real feelings. He
      is a disgrace to America.
PS: I don’t like his ugly big mouthed wife either.

Just shows if you are married to the Heinz fortune then you don’t have to worry about what you say.

My hats off to the military people who serve to earn money for College.

Loved the sign!! Hope Jonnnn Carreeeee’s big long chin hangs all the way to the ground when he sees this from “Our Troops”!!

It’s getting harder and harder…for us “middle of the road” voters…to come look here for news on Natalee’s case and not get turned off by the political viewpoints!!! God bless you for your views!!!! and that is an honest prayer from me to you!!!! But if I have to keep reading the “pro-republican, anti-democrat” rhetoric while trying to keep up on Natalee’s case??!!! WEEEELL???!!! You lost me!!!!

    5. anon on November 1st, 2006 8:44 pm

      I agree!

    6. Ramlady on November 1st, 2006 8:52 pm

#4; anon: That’s great that you come here to keep abreast of the latest happenings on Natalee Holloway, but who is FORCING you to read the non-Natalee stories?? The headlines should be a pretty good tip-off as to the subject of the story. May I suggest you just scroll past the political and non-Natalee stories and only concentrate on those that interest you?

    7. Patti on November 1st, 2006 9:05 pm

Anon: Sweetie, everything leads back to Natalee. It’s just
that there are sooooo many bad guys that we feel that we
might as well expose them all. Afterall, someone doesn’t
just vanish without the assistance of others.

This is the 21st century and there have been too many
people more busy with raising their children and making a
life for themselves to notice; but they have gotten a head-
start on us and we need to catch up. The corruption of
our govenment officials, that is the most visible during
election years, needs to be stopped. This is a political,
international problem that we intend to get to the bottom
of…. so we can get back to raising our children in a
safe world…. and that IS a very important part of “Finding
      Natalee”….

Keep up the good work, Richard!!!!!!!

Great sense of humor and “high road” put-down of Kerry’s disgraceful remarks.

Leave it the distinguished men and women of the US Army and military forces to inject a bit of levity into this pathetic “gotcha” moment — all the while engaged in the nation’s defense, i.e. killing and capturing “insurgents”.

      BRAVO ZULU !!

I love that picture! John Kerry is an elitist who doesn’t have a clue about the life of the “common man.” Many intelligent people who are not married to multi-millionaires go into the military in order to get money for college. I don’t really think this is a Republican v. Democrat issue, it’s just a John Kerry v. everyone else issue. The man is just an idiot, in my opinion.

    12. k on November 1st, 2006 11:47 pm

Foot in mouth John Kerry! About the only smart thing he’s ever said is “I do” to a rich woman.

HAVE YOU SEEN MY MOTHER’S DOG????????????

    16. Richard on November 2nd, 2006 6:19 am

To me, what’s equally as pathetic as Kerry’s original remarks is the excuse he gave: I didn’t mean to insult our troops, I meant to insult our president.

What is it about this country that has led to the abandonment of common civility? Does anyone remember the Democrat Scoop Jackson, who assailed the Republicans on domestic policy but stood (as I recall) shoulder to shoulder with them in the face of international threat?

Why show unity with the opposite party? Because we are Americans, we face danger from an insane and malicious enemy, and “politics stops at the water’s edge.”

That is how people used to feel.

I wasn’t around when Pearl Harbor happened (and by the way, I’ve lived in Japan for eight years, consider them wonderful people, and so there is nothing here hostile to Japan or the Japanese). But we rose together as Americans and fought together, as we had to.

God help us if, with the infantile political culture we have today, where personal responsibility does not exist and irresponsible remarks are applauded, we face another serious threat. Our own weaknesses are the terrorists’ most potent strengths.

And thanks Patti … I’m not giving up on Natalee, or on Amy Bradley.

    17. Richard on November 2nd, 2006 6:23 am

And what I wanted to say is … who in hell is John Kerry in the first place, other than a con artist living the good life by virtue of marrying a fortune?

He has money. He has no character.

Unfortunately, both for him and for America, all the lights of TV cameras and all the adulation of paid media hacks cannot compensate for the lack of character.

The best argument in favor of the stance of conservatives, who want to restrain the growth of government, is to see the specimens like Kerry who proliferate.

Remember, Plato said that the only reason a decent person would want to enter politics is to ensure that nobody worse than he would be in power. Contrast that idea with today.

    18. mommaknows on November 2nd, 2006 8:19 am

Let it to Kerry! Just listened to the news and even the Democrates are coming out against him! When Hillary tells you that you messed up…you really have a problem. I am surprised that she hasn’t brought up the “right wing” trying to ruin everyone in the Democratic party.

Kerry needs to be run out of town on a rail and made to live with the troops. He would NEVER make it. Better yet, send him to Cindy Shehan’s house.

    19. Audrey on November 2nd, 2006 8:24 am

The joke was about how ignorant president Bush is — NOT the troops. The context is plain to anyone who cares to know the truth. And President Bush IS ignorant, and also deceitful. I don’t know which is more to blame for the misdirection in this case, but I am bewildered at some people’s absolute refusal to see what an abysmal president we have and what he has done to seriously harm our country and our ideals.

    20. Audrey on November 2nd, 2006 8:26 am

#17 – Who in the hell is President Bush, except a drunken fat boy who couldn’t manage his own businesses for anything and then got promoted to the President of the United States by virtue of being born into a powerful and vile political family?

    21. Audrey on November 2nd, 2006 8:32 am

#16 – We ARE stuck in Iraq and President Bush is notoriously uneducated and… well, just plain dumb. We are the laughing stock of the world now, even though we had the world’s full sympathy after 9/11. There is no reasonable explanation for why we are in Iraq, while we have abandoned Afghanistan to fall to the Taliban again. Iraq is a terrorist breeding ground. Bush is one of the most unethical presidents ever, even as blind-eyed supporters claim him to be moral just because he gives lip service to Christianity. He has eroded human rights to the point that we are nothing but hypocrites and bullies. He has over-stepped every check and balance meant to protect our liberties. And how is that conservatives simply refuse to see this? It’s egregious.

    22. MIss-Underestimated on November 2nd, 2006 8:34 am

I loved the picture, saving it as my screen saver. Thanks US Military.

From the very mouth of the people you insulted Mr. Kerry.

Keep up the good work SM, you have become my information source during the day, for all information including Natalee Holloway.

I agree the Dems including Ms Hillary are distancing themselves from Mr. Kerry.

May be if Kerry puts a little ketchup on the apology it will be easier to swallow.

    23. Audrey on November 2nd, 2006 8:36 am

Olbermann: Bush, not Kerry, should apologize:

      http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15519404

“This president must apologize to the troops for having suggested, six weeks ago, that the chaos in Iraq, the death and the carnage, the slaughtered Iraqi civilians and the dead American service personnel, will, to history, “look like just a comma.”

This president must apologize to the troops because the intelligence he claims led us into Iraq proved to be undeniably and irredeemably wrong.

This president must apologize to the troops for having laughed about the failure of that intelligence at a banquet while our troops were in harm’s way.

This president must apologize to the troops because the streets of Iraq were not strewn with flowers and its residents did not greet them as liberators.

This president must apologize to the troops because his administration ran out of “plan” after barely two months.

This president must apologize to the troops for getting 2,815 of them killed.

This president must apologize to the troops for getting this country into a war without a clue.

And Mr. Bush owes us an apology for this destructive and omnivorous presidency.

We will not receive them, of course.

      This president never apologizes.

      Not to the troops.

      Not to the people.

Nor will those henchmen who have echoed him.”

    24. Nederlander on November 2nd, 2006 9:09 am

The banner is fun, but the real meaning of his words are actually very true.

    25. Ramlady on November 2nd, 2006 9:13 am

#19, 20, 21; The ONLY thing egregious is YOU and people like you. You made three separate comments, and try as I might, I don’t find one single truth in there anywhere. Kerry is an arrogant and condescending elitist, and everybody, except you apparently, knows it. For an ignorant, dumb guy Bush did seem to graduate from Yale with a higher GPA than Kerry so I guess that makes Kerry an even bigger moron. BTW, I have never met any dumb people with Harvard MBAs. Have you? Regardless of how your left-wing buddies try to portray Bush, our troops love him and strongly support him. Bush has great admiration and respect for them, and they in turn have great respect for him. They believe in what they are doing in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and if you would pry yourself away from the George Soros blogs and the ultra-left propangandists long enough, you would know that Afghanistan is NOT in danger of falling back into the hands of the Taliban. But I guess you must know something our military experts do not. Kerry said what he said. Nobody put words in his mouth. The fact that now he says he meant to insult Bush rather than the troops is only slightly less offensive. It shows he has absolutely no clue and no character. It was clear to everyone, including our troops in harm’s way, what he meant. The terrorists will use Kerry’s words as yet another weapon of propaganda against our troops over there. He has also made it clear on other occasions how he disdains our military, the same military he was a part of forty years ago in Vietnam. Many veterans from that war have never forgiven him for falsely accusing them of war crimes. He has also accused our present-day troops of terrorizing women and children in Iraq. Perhaps if he had better advisors, someone could have stopped him from inserting his foot in his mouth. Wonder where Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean have disappeared to? Kerry’s little “botched joke” was just another of the many gifts liberals have handed Republicans lately. Now we’ll see who’s laughing on election day.

    26. Ramlady on November 2nd, 2006 9:17 am

      Audrey

“botched joke” “intended to President Bush”

Tell us which one was it? Go tell it to the US military that heard those words.

Some Americans have short memories, we were told on the onset of this war : that most all dems voted for : that it was going to be a long war.
Why is Ms. Hillary distancing herself from John Ketchup Kerry?

    29. Scared Monkeys on November 2nd, 2006 11:02 am

So in other words Kerry “insulted the troops before he insulted the President?”

Just an observation … For those that state they are in the middle of the road … you should be appaulled at what Kerry did. No one who honestly is a Middle of the Road Independent could back an uber-lib like Mass Senator John Kerry … no one. Kerry is so far from the middle of the road it would be impossible.

When one insults and makes a joke of our armed forces … they deserve everything they get.

These brave men & women volunteer knowing that they might make the ultimate sacrifice for us. To be called stupid, and that is what Kerry did. He can back track all he wants … it does not change the fact of what he really believes and has believed since 1972.

By the way … no one is ever going to agree with all the stories that we post, they are not supposed to. Discussion and debate is based upon respectfully talking about differing sides.

      thanks,
      R
