HOAX … Lance Cpl. Lance Hering Faked his Disappearance to Avoid going back to Iraq

In another case of a missing persons hoax, this time it appears to be a “runaway Marine”. Police had been searching for  Lance Cpl. Lance Hering for five days until the search was called off recently.  Lance Cpl. Lance Hering was reported Hering missing in Eldorado Canyon State Park on August 30, 2006 by friend Steve Powers. It appears the disappearance was a fake and staged.  Seems the two have a bit of criminal history together.

I would like you to take a deep look into the pain filled eyes of his parents!
(Their picture is found on any news site …they are asking for help)
They are very nice people…I know them …Ask yourself sometime when you grow up … if what you have done by listing their sons disapearance with the heading …”Hoax” & “If you liked this post, I think you’ll also like these” and included it along with such events as Barbara Walaters, 10 most fascinating people & Olivia Newtons boyfriend spotted !” expresses the kindness you would like extended to you if your son goes missing for any unexplained reason! I live here in Boulder and know the dangers of Eldorado Canyon. It claims lives every year.
I will continue to look for and believe in Lance… He has loving parents who care for him deeply…We could use your help.
      Sincerely, Randy

I really have to agree with Randy’s posting on this one. It has not been proven that this is a hoax. The man is “innocent until proven guilty” and at this point he hasn’t even been found.
There are so many scenarios-yes, maybe he left voluntarily but was under some severe mental stress or illness. (Who knows what the trauma of war did to him?) OR perhaps he left and then WAS indeed hurt later or… well, I don’t want to speculate on the negative but I think most people can think of the other possibilities.
The point is that IF this man is mentally or physically ill, hurt or in danger, saying it was a hoax before that is proven MAY cause people to not look for him or even be concerned.
I will actually be thrilled if it is found out that he just took off-that is so much better than him being hurt or worse.
I don’t know this family but I have grown children of my own and my heart goes out to the parents/family.
May Lance be found safe and sound…

You are right. It isn’t a hoax, it is a FARCE! Read the Sep 22 Daily Camera. “Lance Hering, 21, was inside the Denver [Greyhound] depot at 1055 19th St. about 6 a.m. on Aug. 30, according to footage captured on the station’s security cameras.” “On Wednesday, investigators showed the video footage to Hering’s parents. They said they’re 99 percent sure Hering is the person captured on camera using an alias to buy a ticket. Detectives wouldn’t disclose the alias or the ticket’s destination because they’re still trying to locate him.” When both comments were posted, you had no way of knowing this, but we sure know now that this “poor kid” is realyl just a run of the mill dirt bag.

Is Lance Hering suspected to be in the Osceola, IA area?

Plea deal OK’d for ex-Marine Lance Hering has a shot at a clean record if he keeps up treatment and public service.
